HouseBed Classic

HOUSEBED CLASSIC is a bed, in a Scandinavian style.

Buying the HOUSEBED CLASSIC you get a complete bed frame with a base for a mattress, vertical beams and a mini-roof.

You also get all the elements to assemble a bed, screws and water based glue (essential in assembly process to glue the bed elements together where they are jointed with wooden pegs.)

MATERIAL:   

Beds are made of high quality pine plywood, 1st class.

Plywood is more resilient than solid wood, it does not crack and is free of defects (knots).

All the elements are hand or mechanically sanded, they are smooth and their edges are rounded.

BED BASE:

A bed base is included in a price, it consists of resilient slats that are not connected.

Each slat must be attached to the bed frame using the pockets that are included with the slat kit.

DIMENSIONS:

Height of the vertical beams to the mini-roof is 100 cm.

The total height of the HOUSEBED CLASSIC model depends on the length of the chosen bed:

• a bed 120 cm long – the total height at the highest point  -  140 cm,
• a bed 140 cm long – the total height at the highest point  -  145 cm,
• a bed 160 cm long – the total height at the highest point  -  150 cm,
• a bed 180 cm long – the total height at the highest point  -  155 cm,
• a bed 190 cm long – the total height at the highest point  -  160 cm,
• a bed 200 cm long – the total height at the highest point  -  160,5 cm. 

The bed legs are made of 45/65 mm elements.

The bed frame is made of 90/20 mm elements.

The height of the frame is 9 cm.

A standard height of bed legs is 10 cm.

We can make a bed without legs.

Please, remember to include this information in the “Comments”, while making your order.

In the “Additional options” you can choose higher legs, like in the option with the drawer – 19cm, (when you choose the higher legs the height of the vertical beams raises and so does the total height of the bed.

Taking into account a mattress with a thickness of 10 cm, a child sleeps at a height of 27 cm. 

To get the overall size of the bed you need to add 9 cm to the given length and width.

When you choose a size given on the website you get the size of the mattress.

MAXIMUM LOAD OF THE BED IS 100 KG.

VARNISHING:

The beds are varnished with water based paints, which are odourless and ecological.

The water based paint is hypoallergenic and child safe.

Standard available colours are as follows:

- white (NCS 0300N)



- grey (RAL 7004)



- black (RAL 9005)

- mint (NCS S 0520-B90G)




- blue (NCS S 0520-B10G)

- pink (NCS S 0520-R20B)

- clear coat (matt)

MATTRESS:

The mattress is not included in this offer.

You can fit the mattress on the mattresses tab.

When you choose a size of a bed given on the website you get the size of the mattress.

The mattress sits 3 cm inside the frame.

Please select the mattresses of thickness maximum 9-12 cm.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:

• a rail that is ½ of the bed length and can be removed
  
• a rail that is 2/3  of the bed length and can be removed
  
• higher legs – 19 cm
