Eco-Friendly Bedroom and Children’s Room

Over the past few years, it has become increasingly clear that more and more people are thinking about the long-term consequences of their actions: if I throw a plastic bottle into the forest today, my grandchild may trip over it in 50 years. The most environmentally aware group is parents, who are concerned about what they will leave behind for future generations. Thanks to them, reusable nappies, glass bottles, and wooden toys have come back into favour. We are pleased that, as a manufacturer of children’s beds, we too can be part of this valuable eco-friendly trend by creating wooden beds for children.

Ecology – Caring for the Planet and for Health

In fact, the heading above could be expressed even more simply: caring for the future. By choosing eco-friendly products, you are not only taking care of our planet, but above all, you are reducing your child’s exposure to toxic materials. Our beds are made from carefully selected laminated pine wood and are painted and lacquered with eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, odourless, water-based paints that are safe for children.

Not everyone realises how harmful plastic objects or petroleum-based paints can be to well-being and overall health. This is particularly important for small children, who love to “taste” everything, but older children and adults also inhale volatile compounds released from such materials when exposed to heat. It would be unrealistic to believe this has no effect on the body’s immunity. The costs borne by the planet are secondary here, because for a parent there is nothing more precious than their child’s well-being.

Nature – A Timeless Interior Designer

We are pleased to see that most of our customers choose lacquered beds in a natural wood colour. They appreciate pine wood in its natural form and often decorate their children’s rooms in themes inspired by forests, savannahs, or safaris. Scientists discovered long ago that such views, unlike cityscapes, have a calming effect on our senses and help us relax and unwind.

Scandinavian-style wooden beds have the great advantage of fitting into almost any interior. They are subtle, so they do not disrupt the original design of the room, and if needed, they can also be painted to match the existing décor even more closely. The light colour of pine wood gives the room a clean, neat, and well-lit appearance. The frames of our beds, both classic models and Scandinavian-style house beds, are designed to remain airy and not block natural light.

Eco-Friendly Sleep for Our Children

Sleeping in a bed made from natural materials, under a cotton duvet and surrounded by wooden or fabric toys, feels completely different from sleeping in a metal bed — natural, perhaps, but cold — not to mention plastic beds (yes, they do exist!) or sofas upholstered in polyester. It is simply harder to breathe freely in such surroundings, and there is nothing truly pleasant about them.

Even the touch of smoothly sanded wood has a calming effect after a tiring day, while the scent of wood gently invites restful sleep. It is worth remembering that a tired child is an irritable child. Children need a great deal of sleep — much more than adults. During sleep, they do not only recover their energy, but above all, they learn. A tired brain is not able to absorb new information, which is why it is so important that children’s sleep is peaceful, deep, and relaxing.

For this to be possible, children need a comfortable mattress and a place where they truly enjoy resting, rather than a place where they simply have to sleep. We trust that among the wide range of our products, you will easily find a bed that meets your expectations. Should you have any questions, our experts are always happy to help.
